Hello TParent71,
When you are registering with your code, make sure not to add "-4" at the end of it if it is there on your device. The code should be two letters and five numbers long.
If that is not the issue, then it's possible the device was registered already and an account exists. You could try resetting your password to see if that is the case. |

How to: get a design from email to DG15?
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator

Hello LPT,
Welcome to embroidery!
Tajima machines are all capable of running DST files, which is the most common embroidery production file you'll find.
Tajima DG15 by Pulse can open DST files, or it can edit files in most other formats. Pulse's main format for creating and editing designs is called a PXF file though, which allows for the best control.
If you are interested in software and machine training, we always recommend speaking with your local Pulse and Tajima distributor. They are able to do full training programs to get you up and running quickly! |

Networking Embroidery Machines - Auto-loading
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
Networking with your embroidery software can improve efficiency for businesses of any kind. Enterprise networking and automation solutions with barcode integration are the best option for medium to large sized businesses but what about the smaller shops that could still use help improving operator efficiency and production costs?
These small businesses still have a wealth of options available to help. There are many great networking tools and features within embroidery software to get designs read faster and improve operator efficiency. One such feature is the ability to auto-load designs directly from your embroidery software. You can set up your machine queue to set the order of designs and have your machine stitch them all out without having to reset or enter new information.
An auto-load feature allows your operator to move on to the next scheduled design with the push of a button. If you need to stitch out a design on more than garment, you can set a download count for each design in your queue. This means that you can do all your production scheduling directly from your embroidery software.
Businesses of any size should consider the networking options that their embroidery software is capable of before making a purchase.

Choosing the Right Personalization Software
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
It is important for an automation solution be tailored specifically to your organization’s needs and strengths. Designs can be created automatically according to your company's guidelines and text generation rules, and can be automatically downloaded to your production machines.
The automation process runs through a text and design creation engine that generates designs based on orders created online, or on in-house. This part of the process is completed without any user intervention.
The automation process will allow you to maximize the efficiency of your business and your employees. It frees you from tedious tasks such as order processing and manual entry, creating more time for you to focus on other aspects of the business.
New personalization solutions can provide 3D renderings of designs before they are approved for production. Embroidery files are generated automatically from the order information and by consulting your own product-specific parameters such as the size of the design and font selection. The entire process becomes streamlined.
Automation will help your bottom line in several ways. For one, it eliminates production errors, thus eliminating the cost of lost products and unhappy customers. With an automated solution in place there’s no need to worry about spelling errors, spacing issues or crude language appearing in any of your designs.
Automating your business maximizes the productivity of your employees. Your machine operators will be able to manage multiple machines simultaneously. Instead of an operator taking the design manually from the order and inputting to the machine, the process is now as simple as scanning a barcode and readying the garment for production.
Companies that have implemented both personalization and automation are sure to see a boom in businesses. When a company experiences this type of phenomenal growth, it must have the equipment and systems in place to keep up with demand. A great automation solution is one that is streamlined, allowing your organization to increase the rate at which orders can be handled and processed. This will allow you to scale up your business, meaning the automation solution will grow alongside the organization.
When you are ready to automate your business, it is important to look toward an organization with experience and a reputation for quality. If you are ready to automate your apparel decoration business or are curious to learn more, please contact your local Pulse Microsystems distributor or visit www.pulsemicro.com. |

Machine Integration Features Available in DG
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
With Tajima DG16 by Pulse, the relationship between your embroidery machine and your software is growing. Take advantage of these features to improve your day to day operations, and reduce human errors related to garment preparation and picking.
DG16 enables the designer to set the maximum speed of the machine within the design itself, saving your machine operator the time and effort of calculating the proper RPMs themselves.
Another great function is the ability to send messages to your machine operators from within DG. Messages can be displayed on the embroidery machine’s controller before and after production to give specific instructions to the machine operator. This is great for reminding operators about proper backing or other prerequisites of the fabric the design will be sewn on. The message that displays after design completion can be used to communicate where the finished product needs to be placed for shipping, or details like when the design needs to be completed or and if there is another garment that it should be shipped with.
DG16’s machine integration features will help operators reduce expenses related to damaged garments, and will ensure all completed garments end up in the right place. Connectivity between software and machine will go a long way toward streamlining your apparel decoration business, which can increase your productivity and save your business both time and money. |

Choosing the Right Level of Digitizing Software
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
If you’re new to the embroidery software world or if you’re looking into purchasing new software, there are a few things that you should keep in mind. Perhaps the most important thing is to make sure you are choosing the correct level of software. The only thing worse than finding out that you didn’t quite get all the features you need is finding out that you bought far too many. It’s much easier to upgrade to a higher level of software or purchase a few extra options than it is to downgrade your system.
Most software companies sell their products in different levels. Depending on the size of the company and the number of features available, each level is appropriately designed to suit the needs of specific audiences or proficiency levels. Lower levels offer lettering and editing software only, while the top levels offer some truly amazing artistic options and stitch types. The reason that software companies offer their products through this model is to open up their customer base to accommodate different types of users from beginners to professional digitizers.
A benefit that this sales model provides to users is that it will allow you to improve your software as your business grows or as you become a more proficient digitizer. Start off with the most basic level and pay the reduced fee to upgrade to a higher level only when you’re ready to do so. This method also gives you the option to start off by outsourcing your digitizing to professional designers, and then to begin to do it in-house once you have the proper experience.
Some companies also offer their features in module format. This is a good direction to look at if you know you only need one or two features. However, it can get very expensive as you add more modules. Remember to do your homework before you purchase your embroidery software. Figure out what it is you want to do from the start and determine your goals for the future of your business. Then, choose the software that fits these needs and offers the easiest path for growth. |

Small Lettering, Big Impact
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
One of the most important features for customers looking to purchase embroidered products is the quality of lettering. Apparel decoration business owners know that lettering quality is impacted by several things including threads, needle size, machine speed and embroidery software. This becomes even more important when we begin to talk about specialty resources for small lettering fonts.
Offering high quality small lettering will set your business apart from others that either refuse to do the work or do a poor job with small lettering requests.
Small lettering generally refers to text smaller than 5mm in height. High quality small lettering can be created at heights as small as 3mm. When choosing to embark on a small lettering project it is essential to implement an embroidery software program that offers a wide array of specialty small lettering fonts. This means different types of fonts including block, script and line fonts to give you the most flexibility possible.
Tajima DG16 by Pulse now has more small lettering fonts than ever before. The following 21 example fonts are specifically designed for small lettering and are included as standard for all DG16 users. Plus there are more available too! Pulse employs a lettering expert who digitizes these fonts to perform optimally in any and all situations. Pulse’s small lettering fonts are the best in the world and are one of the many advantages to purchasing Tajima DG16 by Pulse.

The Rise of Retail Personalization
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
With a retail software solution, you can use the power of templates to quickly create your own personalized design. The burden of digitizing is eliminated by selecting a template and then choosing your desired text and design elements. Users can also take advantage of the innovative technology by creating their own templates based on the needs of their business. This allows the user to keep the same design for multiple garments and personalize with individual or team names.
With the latest retail software offerings, garments can be personalized in minutes using a wide selection of fonts, thread charts, templates and editing tools. This type of software works with text and designs for shirts, jackets, and hats and more.
Though simple to use, retail embroidery software does offer powerful editing tools to ensure your design perfectly matches your vision. You can use tools such as align, transform, rotate and resize to ensure that your customers’ designs meet their standards.
You can easily create borders for text and alter the spacing between letters to get the look you desire. Thread charts can be switched for easy colour changes and selection. Editing tools allow customers to personalize their garment through to the finest detail. Users can even virtually preview their design on a garment of their choice to get a better idea of how their embroidery will look on the t-shirt, sweater, apron or hat of their choice. The ability to import CSV files and to print for barcode scanning are standard features for retail embroidery software that take advantage of the industry’s evolving technology.
For retail businesses that are already operating in the personalization space or those that are just entering, reliable and powerful embroidery software is essential. Retail-specific software will improve operational efficiency, draw the eye of potential customers and deliver top quality embroidery at an unbelievable rate.
Now is the time for retail businesses to enter the personalization space. When choosing your retail embroidery software, you need to find a solution that is both easy to use and provides high quality stitching. |

Making it Fit with Personalizations
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
Over the last few years, the demand for personalization has been on a steady increase. The main reason for this comes more from manufacturers than the consumer side of things.
People have always been interested in personalization. Who doesn’t want their name monogrammed on their new scarf or polo?
The trend really took off because of the technical innovation on the manufacturing side. New software has made it possible to fulfill these personalization needs efficiently. More and more companies now have the ability to offer personalization of garments and other goods.
Obviously, large retailers were the first to take advantage of this new technology, implementing it on the design end and the production end of their business. More recently, we have seen some of these personalization features starting to creep into digitizing software for smaller businesses and retailers.
One such feature is the ability to “shrink to fit” text segments. This is especially useful for jobs where an entire team, club or other organization has asked for personalized garments. What happens if the baseball team who just placed a large order has a catcher named Buck and a shortstop named Hechavarria? How will these two names of fit in the same area allocated for text?
The answer used to be that you would manually resize and reposition each name until you finished the entire team.
Now, embroidery software allows you to “shrink to fit” any text segment. Names can be automatically resized and repositioned to fit the defined area both vertically and horizontally.
“Shrink to fit” is just one of the tools that businesses of all sizes now have access to, that larger manufacturers and retailers have been using to expedite personalizations. Oftentimes it’s the ability of the manufacturer to produce a certain item that can set trends rather than the customer’s demands. |

Why are You using Vector Based Embroidery?
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
Digitizing can be a frustrating process for all embroiderers regardless of expertise. Adjusting and recreating each and every stitch, corner and outline with traditional embroidery can seem overwhelming and becomes quite cumbersome. Some professional digitizers continue to employ this tried and true method, but many like you have adopted the technological advantages and innovations of Vector Based Embroidery (VBE). Vector Based Embroidery is a technology that simplifies the process of turning artwork into embroidery by reducing the number of nodes a user must manage and easing the transition from artwork to embroidery.
VBE eliminates the need to draw, trace or digitize design segments individually. The entire conversion process from artwork to embroidery consists of selecting the desired segments and simply applying a stitch type.
As the apparel decoration business grows, digital print companies are becoming more involved in the embroidery sector and vice versa. This means that graphic designers have begun to enter the digitizing space. These designers are familiar with tools like combine, offset and cut. With VBE, these features are included in your software.
In addition to saving you time, VBE also provides many advantages in terms of design and stitch quality. For example, it has the ability to support Bezier Curves, which allow for the creation of outlines with the least number of control points possible. This results in quicker and more precise embroidery creation. Simply put, you are editing the shape instead of completely recreating the whole thing from scratch, which provided you with more than enough time to read this article! edited by PulseMicro on 7/31/2018 |

Vertical Lettering in Your Designs
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
Use your embroidery software to easily create beautiful vertical text segments and customize the spacing, line type and justification of the text. You can simply drag and drop individual characters along the baseline to customize the spacing between each letter.
Use vertical spacing settings to set the spacing between each adjacent line in the Vertical text segment. Choose from different line types to adjust the spacing of letters or create a path for the vertical text to follow.
The vertical spacing between the baselines of each letter is the same, regardless of which letters are in the string. Spacing is determined by the reference height of the selected font, plus the vertical spacing property.
When fixed spacing is selected, the spacing between characters will take into account differing heights of the letters, so that there is equal vertical spacing between characters. You can also use justification settings to determine how letters are placed along the segment’s baseline. Options include top, bottom, center or fit to line
Vertical text is great for putting together creative designs to fit a specific vertical area but it can also work to open your business to new markets. Many languages are read from top to bottom so vertical text will help you appeal to these customers as well. |

Monogramming with Wizards!
Tajima SoftwareAdministrator
|
Monogramming is one of the oldest and most successful forms of embroidery. The reason it’s still around is because it’s popular and it fills a need for personalization. Monograms have been a part of embroidery software for a long time as well but there has not been much change to the methodology until quite recently.
New software programs are making it easier than ever to quickly create impressive, stylized monograms. These programs are using predefined templates to speed up the monogramming process. They allow users the ability to personalize their monograms by selecting the text, colour, font and size of the monogram. There are also options to use preloaded frames and decors to further personalize your monogram.
Embroidery software has taken the sometimes arduous task of creating monograms and made it fast and fun. Monograms will always have a huge place in the apparel decoration industry, so these new tools are essential to improving your design experience now and going forward.
Tajima DG16 by Pulse includes a Monogram Wizard that streamlines the monogramming process for its users. The Monogram Wizard allows for a great degree of personalization including:
Templates - Choose from 22 predefined templates as the basis for your monogram design.
Colours - 30 different thread charts available for maximum flexibility.
Fonts - Choose from any of your DG fonts, not just those specialized for monograms.
Sizes - Specify the exact height of each line of text in your design.
Frames - 70 different frames available to surround your monogram.
Decors - 90 different decors included with something for every season of the year. |
