Here's some advice from our support team:

Select the Artwork boundary and slice it in the middle. Make sure that the slice line is in the same angle as you are intending the C. Fill stitches to to be.
Once you have the shape sliced, break it up. You now have 2 pieces. Select the first piece and convert it to C. Fill. Place the start bead and end bead so that stitches travel from the middle to the outside. Select the second Artwork shape and do the same.
You can either insert a trim command between the 2 shapes, or you can insert a Run Stitch segment that travels along the outside of the first shape towards the start point of the second shape.

overlap in complex fill

Please see the reply from our support team:

If we are talking about a complex fill with crossing stitch angles, then it could be done by copy/pasting the shape and fill each one of the complex fill segments in opposing angles.
Make sure that the Start and End beads are positioned correctly so that the stitches travel according to your expectations.
In case you want the very first stitches to start in the middle, then you an insert Run stitches in the desired position.

The latest DG16 official available for download has a fix for this problem.
Unfortunately the same fix can’t be applied to DG15.

It sounds like you want to use the "Combine" tool. Shortcut is CTRL + L when you have multiple segments selected. We will share a more recent manual with you through private message.

Tip: Toggling between Anchor point types
There is a quick way to convert between different types of anchor points, without using the context menu. To do this, select a segment using the Vertex Select tool. Then, hold down the Ctrl key while right-clicking on the point you want to change.

The type of anchor point that results from this change depends on the initial anchor point type, in the following manner:

· - Smooth points change to Straight points.
· -Straight, Cusp, and Symmetric points change to Smooth points.

@dluxedivegear

To create Satin or Fill stitches with holes:
1 In the Digitizing toolbar, click the Complex Fill tool.
2 In the Pattern list, select a Satin type or a Fill pattern.
3 Left-click to punch the segment.
4 Press O to complete the outside of the segment.
5 Continue clicking inside the segment to punch where you want the holes. Press O again to complete the inside of the segment.

With the upcoming release of DG17, DG/ML Version 14 will no longer be an officially supported product and will no longer be available for download. This means that you will not be able to contact Tajima Software or your local distributor for software support. It also means that you will not be able to add options like LAN licenses and fonts to your DG/ML Version 14 software.
Contact your local distributor to update to DG17 and take advantage of all the new features and enhancements!

Here is what our digitizer suggests:

I recommend using the Artwork tools to create the “guidelines”.

For example, you could use the rectangle tool to draw the 25mm guideline.
