Update: The latest Windows update (KB5001649) resolves the issue affecting the Print 3-D setting. For most users, this will download automatically through your Windows Update program. If it does not download automatically, please follow these instructions to manually update your Windows OS:

1. Click on the Windows Start button.
2. Begin to type "Update."
3. Select "Check for Updates" from the menu when it appears.
4. If updates are already pending, click "Install Now" to begin. If there are no pending updates, click "Check Now" to start a search.
5. Select any of the available updates that you wish to install. Ensure that KB5001649 is selected. Click "Install Now."
6. After installation is complete, restart your computer.

Original Post:
It has come to our attention that a recent Windows 10 update (KB5000802) causes an issue when using the
"Print 3-D" setting within Tajima DG by Pulse. If this setting is enabled and the KB5000802 update is installed, it will print black squares over top of the design at this time.





If the Print 3-D option is disabled, there are no issues with the printout.

This appears to be a Windows issue, but we are investigating further to see if there is a solution from our side.
To fix this issue, you may uninstall the KB5000802 update shown below:



To uninstall Windows updates, open your Start menu and follow this path:

Settings > Update & Security > View Update History > Uninstall Updates

After uninstalling the update, we recommend rebooting Windows before opening Tajima DG by Pulse again.

Thank you for following up pford1854,

We are reviewing the latest Microsoft update to confirm that it does solve the issue with the Print 3-D feature for all versions of Tajima DG by Pulse. As you mention, it seems promising since it has fixed the issue for some users already. We will post an update shortly about this since it appears that this Windows update may not download automatically for all users.

Here is the info for the Penelope font:

Penelope
MinHeight: 0.31in / 8mm
MaxHeight: 1.57in / 40mm


If you want to find out this information for other fonts, there are two ways to do so:


1. In DG, click on the Help tab and then select Fonts. This will show detailed information about each of the fonts you have installed.
2. Search for the font on the pulsemicro.com fonts webpage. This may be useful if you want some basic information about a font you don't currently have.

Hello Keith,

Would you be able to post the steps you are taking before this crash occurs? Do you have a specific design open each time it has crashed? Or does it happen with any design / no design? Any additional information you can provide could help us reproduce the error and fix the issue.

In the meantime, making sure you have the latest Windows 10 updates may help. Alternatively, if you are using a Windows 8.1 machine, we recommend uninstalling the updates from March this year as the issue may still be a problem on that OS.

We would suggest trying to uninstall and reinstall Corel to reset the connection between programs again. If that does not work, please contact your local Pulse distributor for further assistance.

Isilay has a higher version of Tajima DG16 by Pulse - Likely Maestro, so more tools will be available. Resetting to default will bring back all of the default tools available within your level of DG.

Hello,

We recommend that you first ensure you have the latest version of Windows available for your PC, as this issue is commonly related to a service pack that came out in March 2021. We'd also suggest updating to the latest maintenance release version of Tajima DG by Pulse as well.

If this does not solve the issue, please let us know.

Hello CrossEyedCat,

Could you please tell us which version of DG you are using? Is it DG16, DG15, or an earlier version? At this time, DG16 only works with Corel 2020, so it may be a compatibility issue if you have an older or newer version.

If this is a DG issue rather than Embroidery i2, we will move this thread to the appropriate DG section after your reply.

Hello gail.reilly,

Tajima DG/ML14 by Pulse is an older system that supports CorelDRAW X3, X4, X5 and X6. If you have a newer version of CorelDRAW, it will not interact correctly with DG/ML14 unfortunately.

Registration is required, but there is no cost/subscription. This is a free tool we offer that is typically used for viewing, adjusting file sizes and previewing different thread colours within a design.

Hi ABdul,
You can get of this prompt by setting a default machine:

Go to Tools\Configuration\Laser Bridges
In the Laser Bridge Configuration dialog, select a machine and click Make Default.
If you haven’t imported any laser machines, nothing will appear in that dialog.
We are working on a way to get rid of the prompt without importing a laser machine.

Hi Chris,
I can see the problem with the settings in your screen grab.
I solved the problem by setting the “Trim Type” to “Always Trim” under the “Connection between characters” section.
