Hello,

Each DGML embroidery font has its own kerning pairs table. The kerning pairs and spacing values are stored within the font file.

The text segments in your template design will point to a specific font. The generated text will use whatever kerning values are assigned to the font of the same name installed in DGML.

Hope this helps.

Hello, I am curious about how kerning tables work

If I have a custom name-type graphic and I later change the kerning pairs in the kerning table...
do I then need a new digitized font or will my template(s) point to this kerning table through the old look of the font?

Hoping it just one font that can then be played with by different kerning tables vs have multiple copies.

Thanks for your help!

*Hoping its digitized font (shapes) then kerning table (to work out gaps)
