In 14 and 15 I have no height selection for my Chain or moss segmentsin chenille. Without this option I have to take all of my chenille designs back into 2009 to set the needle heights to output for my machine to read the correct color, type and height requirements without me inputting them every time. This SERIOUSLY needs to be address and fixed. I have tried contacting people in the software department but so far nothing. I do a LOT of chenille and really need this corrected. If someone knows any other way to set single chain walk or moss walk segment heights in 14 or 15 please let me know. Thanks

Hi Saundra,

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. When you create a Moss Walk or Chain Walk segment you can adjust the stitch length but not the height. From what I see the properties for both segment types is the same in version 13 and version 15. However, if you create a chenille segment then yes you can adjust the height of each chenille segment.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you

Saundra has a point with this request. Pulse did have height setting for both "Chain Walk" and "Moss Walk" tools in Version 2009 and before. You can see it on below attached screenshot (13.1.5.4190) :

Hi Saundra,

I looked into this and found the setting is called 'start command needle height'. In order to see this property setting in DG15 you need to go to 'view properties bar' and then select the segment and you will see the setting at the top right corner of the properties bar.

Thank you

Keri,
That selection does not work in 14 (I have that choice but it does not designate the needle height on the machine) and I do not own 15. I tested out v15 at a show and this option did not work so unless they have rewritten the program it still won't work to set chain and moss height to send to the machine.

Just to see for yourself if what you are saying really works, create a chain or moss walk, save it in v15 then open it up in v13, when you select the chain stitch or moss you should see the height you selected in the height window on the property bar..

You can also try saving the file as .tbf and then open it up in the chenille editor and you will see there is no height assigned.

The engineers just need to rewrite the chenille and put the height selection back in. I am not sure why they took it out, I was beta testing for them when they started writing 14 and this was one of my complaints about the chenille feature back then. They kept telling me they were going to fix it. I just got aggravated and stopped testing. Now I use v14 all the time but I have to take it back to v13 for my chenille to work properly, I'm still aggravated.
Thanks for the help so far.
Saundra
