Doesn't Show stitches

I can't seam to show my stitching when I open DST files . Only the outline is showing when I open PXF files but to show stitches I need to select the segment and select 'show stitches button' or by pressing (X). But only show stitches of selected segments . For example when I open DST file show me just white background. Please can any one help?
